Edited to add: Master of monuments is intimidating but really easy. Run up, claim a monument and run away. People are normally not the best at thinking ahead. They try to claim the shrine you took rather than intercept you at a future shrine (especially if they're only one person and can't predict your movement). Let's get necrotic up in here! I later realized you have to actually equip the gear to get progress on the collection. I've been farming for more than 2 hours on the same areas I got . That's what i meant. Like, it's not on by default but you can "tag up" at any time during your "newbie" period until X hours played or whatever the criteria would be.
