Posted 4 August, 2015. The three modes don't change the amount of power on tap, just the throttle response. Sport mode has a quick throttle response and eco has a slow one. The only difference I can remember is that in sport mode, the headlights move with the steering wheel. I hate eco mode as it is too slow to respond. Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020) 1.4 TSI turbo. If I stop / start the engine the EPC is cleared and car drives fine for say 5 to 10 mins., then the warning re appears. I now have the Octy III with same spec and again after almost 2 years no problems. It has the grunt to overtake without any hesitation and is a quiet engine.
